Learn how to use the media center's various apps and resources from home, Starbucks... wherever you have an internet connection. 

Destiny Discover

Looking for a specific book? Or want to browse and entire genre? Destiny is the place to search for books and other items in our collection and see if they are available for check out.
 

  1. Click the Destiny Discover button to the left. 

  2. Click Log In, then click Cobb County Schools Login.

  3. Log in to Destiny using your Microsoft 365 username and password.

 

UberReads

If you are at home when you find the book you need. Simply place a hold on the book, and we'll have it delivered to your ASE or homeroom - wrapped so the book can remain confidential. We call this delivery service - UberReads.

Cobb Digital Library

Cobb Digital Library (hosted by MackinVia) is your ultimate research companion. From scholarly research databases and e-books, to instructional videos and copyright-free images and music, you have just about everything you'll ever need for your research projects with the touch of a button. To access Cobb Digital Library from home:

  1. Click on the CDL button to the left or go to cobb.mackinvia.com

  2. Login in using your Microsoft 365 credentials.

  3. If a password is needed for GALE, try "cobb". For JSTOR and GALILEO passwords,
    ask your media specialist. 

 

Cobb Digital Library is also available as a mobile app!

Microsoft 365

Office365 Instructions

All Lassiter students have access to Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

  1. Click on the Microsoft 365 button to the left or go to office365.cobbk12.org

  2. Login in using your student email (firstname.lastname@students.cobbk12.org) 
    and password

Cobb Teaching and Learning System (CTLS)

CTLS is the digital platform used by teachers to communicate to students and post class assignments and updates. 

  1. Click on the CTLS button to the left or visit ctlslearn.cobbk12.org

  2. Login in using your Microsoft 365 credentials.

Note: If prompted for a client ID - please use "gacobb"

Noodletools

Noodletools Instructions

NoodleTools is your research bestie. It organizes all your research. It helps you take notes, create outlines, cite sources, and create fully formatted work cited pages. 

  1. Click the button on the left to open or click here: NoodleTools.

  2. Log in using your Microsoft 365 credentials.

  3. The first time you log in, you will need to:

    1. Select “Create a New Account”

    2. Select “Student” account

    3. Select Lassiter High School as your school

Cobb County Library PASS

PASS Instructions

As a Lassiter student, you have instant access to all Cobb Public Library resources, including ebooks, audiobooks, online courses, video streaming, digital comics, books, research databases, and more.

  1. Click the button on the left to open Library PASS Anywhere on the Cobb Public Library site where it asks for a library card number & PIN, use these:

    • Library Card: Your Campbell Student ID (lunch) number

    • PIN: Your 4-digit birth month and birth day (For example, if your birthday is May 16, then your PIN is 0516).

  2. Some resources require an additional account to be created, but just use your Library PASS credentials to create your account for these resources.

SORA eBook/Audiobook App

Access ebooks and audiobooks from Cobb County Schools. Access ebooks and audiobooks computer web browser or through mobile apps on iOS and Android. Many titles are also accessible on Kindle.

  1. Go to Soraapp.com OR install and open one of the Sora mobile apps (links above).

  2. Click Find My School and select Cobb County School District
    (If you don’t see it in the list, click My school isn’t listed and search for it.)

  3. Click Log in with Active Directory

  4. Log in with your  Microsoft 365 UserID and password.​

Accessing the Cobb County Public Library Titles with Sora

Add the Cobb Public Library to Sora and check out some of their young adult titles.  Just open Sora and follow these steps:

  • Open the menu, choose “Add a Library”

  • Search for “Cobb County Public Library.”

  • When you want to borrow a title or place a hold, just sign in with your Cobb Public Library PASS credentials (Library card = student#, PIN = 4-digit birthdate).
